Working to improve services for older people
Devon County Council is investing £11.2million to improve its care homes over the next three years. This includes developing up to ten homes as dementia specific Centres of Excellence, and the refurbishment and modernisation of the authority’s remaining homes.
The County Council currently runs 23 care homes, aiming to provide residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.
The development of the Centres of Excellence will play a critical role in modernising the provision of long term and respite care facilities. They will also provide a hub for out-reach services to their local communities. This entry was posted in homepage. Bookmark the permalink. First Dementia Specific Centres of Excellence named →
