Social Media Event @ River Cottage HQ

Guests from Axminister’s surrounding area gathered together on 16th May 2012 at River Cottage HQ for an interactive session to learn from the experience of River Cottage’s use of Social Media.

The event was hosted by a joint collaboration between Devon & Somerset County Councils, Cosmic and Tooway Direct. Experiences shared included: reflections on the overall social media strategy, approaches to sales & marketing (mainly for events), campaigning and also crisis management and business continuity. The highlight of the event being a reflection on experiences following the fire that caused significant damage to the River Cottage site earlier in the year. Feedback and comments from the 53 guests in attendance were very positive some points made were:
