Devon and Somerset Local Broadband Plan

Councils across Devon and Somerset are working together to bring faster broadband to the area.

The Connecting Devon and Somerset project covers Plymouth, Torbay, Devon County Council, Somerset County Council and North Somerset areas.

With a successful bid for £31,320,000 of funding from government (BDUK), and a commitment of £10m from both Devon County Council and Somerset County Council, work is underway to procure and deliver improved broadband for rural Devon and Somerset – the “final third” – rural areas that are unlikely to benefit from commercial investment in broadband.
