Background to YTKO

Connecting Devon and Somerset’s support for business is delivered by YTKO, an award-winning consultancy with nearly 90 staff. The company is experienced in the implementation of business growth services for small and medium sized businesses with headquarters in Cambridge and regional offices across the UK (including Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Torbay and Cornwall). YTKO delivers a range of business skills to clients, including ICT support training, e-commerce, online market research, creating and managing websites, search engine optimisation and marketing, as well as the use of online tools and social media.

You’ll meet members of the team at our awareness raising events to promote the support available through CDS, and to stimulate the demand for superfast broadband across the region.

Key people

Stephen Oliver, YTKO Programme Director

Stephen manages the team that delivers YTKO support services for CDS. His role includes managing YTKO’s funder and partner relationships, providing strategy, monitoring results, working with businesses and acting as the project’s ambassador across Devon, Somerset and Bath. Stephen has worked in high-level business development roles, previously driving and managing product development and market entry for a leading global PLC.

Graham Leigh, Business Advisor

Graham conducts one-to-one mentoring sessions with businesses and has previously worked as an Enterprise Coach for YTKO’s Outset programme in Torbay, where he delivered business training workshops and one-to-one business coaching.

Rachael Hopper, Events and Marketing Executive

 
As part of YTKO’s work to engage with businesses and communities, Rachael provides further support to the team by organising events and marketing communications to increase awareness and demand generation. With significant project management experience prior to joining YTKO, Rachael co-ordinated a range of events in her previous role, including management for consumer and trade events in the UK.

Bev Hurley, YTKO’s Chief Executive

The team reports to Bev, an inspiring serial entrepreneur and holder of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion.
