In Devon, communities have been taking action and working together to benefit their local areas for years. This long tradition of self-help coupled with a strong community spirit has seen projects large and small take off, run by local people for local people.
Now more than ever, communities have the opportunity to have more influence and take control over local priorities and services.
Looking ahead, it’s clear that the County Council will not be able to do everything and things will have to be done in a different way. Only by all working together in a new way will local priorities be delivered.
