Education, careers and qualifications

Explore career and training options for young people

  • Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship can help you to prepare for the world of work – you get a chance to earn some money and train while you are working.

Apprentices from South Devon College (two men and a woman) in chef's whites and pin stripe aprons work with a chef who is an older man with a short beard. They are in a catering kitchen and there is a pan with a dramatic flame from in.
  • T Levels

T Levels are two-year qualifications that help you to get industry experience while learning.

Three young men in overalls are working on an electic vehicle as part of their t-level at South Devon College.
  • Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs)

Learn the higher-level skills that employers want in sectors like finance, engineering, management and scientific jobs on a classroom-taught course.
