Childcare Sufficiency Assessment
Annual Childcare Sufficiency Reports will be published by September of each year. The report will be based on data from the previous financial year.

The content of the annual reports will be spilt into 4 sections:
- Part A: A picture of Devon – including the current childcare providers, population figures and the state of the labour market
- Part B: Sufficiency of Early Years and Childcare – including the level of provision, affordability, accessibility and quality
- Part C: Sufficiency of Early Years and Childcare Provision for Specific Groups – including 2, 3 and 4 year olds taking up free early education, children from families in receipt of the childcare element of the working tax credit, children with additional needs, school aged children and children needing holiday care
- Part D: The role of the local authority – including what Devon County Council has achieved in the past year and what the next steps are for ensuring sufficient early years and childcare in Devon.
