Annual Survey of Providers
In order for the Early Years and Childcare Service to make sure that there is enough provision for everyone in Devon, we need to gather information on settings capacity and demand for childcare. This is a vital part of Devon County Council’s statutory duty under the Childcare Act 2006 to secure and assess the sufficiency of childcare provision in Devon. Therefore we have put together a Survey which asks for information on:
- Setting Capacity
- Capacity to expand
- 2 year olds
- Expansions and Reductions
- Care for atypical hours
-
Care for Irregular hours
Information gathered from the Annual Survey of Providers helps to inform the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment Annual Report. This can be accessed here:
Childcare sufficiency annual report.
The survey is sent via e-mail to providers in Devon and is pre-populated with answers that have been previously submitted to the Early Years and Childcare Service. Please look out for it in your inbox.
This survey will be repeated once a year, in the Spring Term, to inform the Early Years Census return to the Department for Education. This is a statutory requirement for Devon County Council and as such we are required to collect information about your workforce.
We would really appreciate your time in completing these surveys to ensure we hold accurate, up to date information.
