Fund title: People’s Health Trust – Active Communities

For local groups and organisations to be able to implement their ideas for making their communities even better/healthier places to live.

Fund description:

Active Communities is a funding programme for community groups and not-for-profit organisations with an income of less than £350,000 a year that are seeking investment of between £5,000 and £25,000 a year, for projects lasting up to two years. The projects should take place within a small area for a small group of people such as 20 or 30 streets or a couple of villages.

People’s Health Trust has opened Active Communities in 31 areas across Britain.

Applying couldn’t be easier. It’s an online process with a step by step guide from start to finish (see the further information link).

Using money raised by society lotteries through The Health Lottery, People’s Health Trust has opened Active Communities in the following areas:

  • HealthContact – Devon and Torbay
  • HealthPerfect – Cornwall, Plymouth and Isles of Scilly
