Spring sketch walk
Who is this course for?
Suitable for all. If you have mobility problems, please contact our centre.
You will be exploring observational drawing from nature, stopping at various locations along the walk, we will explore a variety of methods to try and simplify and focus on the landscape.
Support and feedback
There will be guided exercises to start with and on going one to one guidance where needed. Group discussions will be on going with the tutor.
Additional costs and requirements
If you have a folding stool this may be useful to you, please bring a drink, snack and weather appropriate clothing and shoes. You may bring your own art materials if you like. You will also need a bag to carry materials no larger than A4. Why not book onto the ‘Painting from Nature’ workshop AC8131 in the afternoon and make a day of it.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
This is a taster session so there is no additional study required.
About the tutor
Alexis Soul-Gray is a practicing artist with a subject specialism in Drawing and Painting. She is a graduate of Central Saint Martins and Camberwell College of Art and has studied at MA level at The Royal Drawing School. Alexis is a qualified teacher of Art & Design and has taught in a wide range of formal and non-formal settings including Museums, Galleries, Primary and Secondary Schools, Universities and community arts projects. She has also worked as a curator, organising large scale Arts events in unusual settings.
