Who is this course for?

If you are an adult with learning difficulties and disabilities or you are being supported on a daily basis but hope to be more independant in your daily life and enjoy exploring new and different art ideas, then this course is for you.

Course content

You will be creating a selection of art and decorations with a Christmas theme to include ideas such as Christmas tree bunting, snowmen gift tags, personalised snow globe decorations and Christmas cards.

Support and feedback

You will be supported throughout the course and your tutor will work with you to check your progress and agree what you need to do to achieve the results that you want.

Additional costs and requirements

There are no entry requirements and you do not need to bring anything

Will I have to do anything outside of the session?

You do not need to do anything in your own time but you may enjoy trying some of the things that you learn in your own time

About the tutor

Barbara Kernick is a tutor working with independent living groups for Learn Devon teaching Drama, Shopping and Independence. Prior to this she worked as a literacy and numeracy tutor and a Skills for Life Coordinator. She has been teaching adults for over 20 years and is a senior practitioner and Internal Verifier.

Before teaching she ran her own business and has been involved in various voluntary roles but now her six grandchildren take up most of her spare time.
