Everyday ESOL - get along with English
Who is this course for?
This course in ESOL (English for Speakers of other languages) is for anyone who wants to have experience in learning to speak or improve their English. It includes reading and writing practice. This session will introduce you to some of the activities we do in class like talking about different countries and cultures, looking for jobs and knowing how to book an appointment
The session covers speaking activities learning new words and pronunciation. You will talk about your country and describe the food there. You will meet new friends and ask them questions about their country and their family.

Your tutor will support you throughout the course and give you feedback

You will need a pen and a note book.
You may be eligible for a learner bursary if you can demonstrate that attending a course will improve your wellbeing. Eligibility is determined after a short interview with a member of our learning support team. You must be aged over 19 on 31st August 2018 and your household income below £15,276 to access this fund. Contact your local centre for more details
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You will be encouraged to do homework and practice at home.

Belinda Barten started working for Learn Devon in 2005 and currently specialises in ESOL and ALDD Art classes. Prior to this she has travelled extensively teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language) in different countries
