Graduate Certificate in Professional Practice (GCPP) Specialism route
Overview
Graduate Certificate in Professional Practice (GCPP) is an introductory module for AMHP, Childcare and Adults Specialisations. It has replaced the Consolidation and Preparation for Specialist Practice (CPSP) from September 2012.
You can choose one of the following specialisms:
- Mental Health Services
- Child Care
- Working with Adults
Structure & time commitments
- Two half day training days
- 5 self-study days
Application process
Intake for this award take place usually before June and January each year. Before joining the programme you will need to discuss it with your Line Manager who will be required to agree for you to undertake it and sign the Nomination Form. Course fees will be covered by our department.
GCPP Part B – Change of specialism
If you have previously completed the CPSP or PQ1 programme but would like to undertake the programme again in a different specialism, there is a separate route to do so. Please contact ou Social Work Education team for further details.
