Devon continues to face many challenges ahead and we know that school budgets will vary across schools and over time. Devon has never been funded at the level it deserves and remains well below the national average for funding per pupil.
2019-20 is the second year since the introduction of the National Funding Formula (NFF) “soft” formula arrangements. In light of progress of LAs to the NFF the Department for Education are allowing LAs to determine local formulas for a further year (2020-21). The LA, in conjunction with Headteacher and Governor representatives, is consulting with all schools, academies and free schools on the proposed local formula from 1st to 12th October 2018.
