Below is an extract from the ‘Other Teachers Pay Ranges’, taken from the DfE School teachers’ pay and conditions document.

Please note: the Government decided to pause public sector pay growth which includes a pause on pay rises for teachers in 2021. The DfE advise that the minima and maxima of each qualified teacher pay range will remain at the same level as set out in the school teachers’ pay and conditions document 2020 guidance for maintained schools. As before, teachers may be eligible for performance related pay progression and apply for promotion, depending on their schools’ pay policies.
To protect the lowest paid public sector workers, those earning less than £24,000 (full time equivalent) will receive a minimum £250 increase. This award will apply to some of the unqualified teachers in the teacher workforce and so their pay as increase slightly (see two unqualified teacher pay tables below).
The main pay range from 1 September 2021
A teacher on the main pay range must be paid such salary within the minimum and maximum of the main pay range set out below as the relevant body determines. At Annex 3, advisory pay points for the main pay range are set out to help support decisions about pay for teachers on the pay range. However, the advisory points are advisory and not mandatory and all decisions relating to pay progressions must continue to be based on performance. The main pay range for qualified teachers is:
