Connecting with families

Key to managing pupil attendance is the quality of the relationships that schools build with families and the wider community. A proactive, compassionate and child focused approach to improving attendance will always out perform a reactive and punitive one. School’s should look to building a trusting, compassionate and collaborative approach to working with pupils and families where the common goal of pupil success is progressed towards as a team.
