Stopping the Clock for a second time in Public Health

Our Public Health team held a second Stop the Clock conversation on 29 June as part of an away day.

Progress since the last Stop the Clock conversation in March has included Virginia Pearson, Chief Officer for Communities, Public Health, Environment and Prosperity (CoPHEP), visiting all CoPHEP departments to meet staff and find out about their roles, and the opportunity for staff to have afternoon TEA with Virginia.

Staff felt that things were feeling different, with more listening and opportunities for them to say what they think. They have agreed to hold more “pop-up” creative conversation meetings and make the staff briefings more interactive. They also intend to incorporate the Leadership Charter principles in the annual appraisal process.
