The decision to direct award was made as this was the most suitable option from all those considered.

An options appraisal was carried out with the following options considered:
– Allow current contract to expire and do nothing
– Extend the current contract
– Direct award from the ESPO Consultancy Service Framework
– Carry out a further competition from the ESPO Consultancy Services Framework
– Carry out a domestic ‘Request for Quotation’ process

There is no conflict of interest in the award of this contract.
