Highway Maintenance Principal Roads Capital Programme.

Decision Taken:

Amendment of the programme.

 

Below shows consultation with Cabinet Member, Cllr Stuart Hughes, before the decision was made by Director Meg Booth.

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

To maximise the impact of the programme within the limits of the approved budget as outlined in the attached report Officer decision highway Maintenance Principal Road  capital programme variations.

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

The programme is regularly reviewed considering asset data , design options and contract valuations in identifying the optimum detailed allocation.

Details of any conflict of interest and dispensation granted to the Officer taking the decision or by any Member of the Council in delegating responsibility for any specific express delegation:

None.

 

When Cabinet approved on 12 April 2023 the Highway Maintenance Capital programme 23/24, the Cabinet agreed detailed allocation of the available budget be determined by the Director of Climate Change, Environment and Transport, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Highway Management, on the basis of the Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan, and within the limits of the approved budget.
