Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:
The decision has been taken on the basis of suppliers providing the required quality of service during the initial contract period.
Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:
To end the contract. This was rejected as would leave vulnerable people without access to much needed services.
To retender the contract. Rejected due to costly procurement process.
