Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

The decision to extend the contract was made following the completion of an options appraisal and the outcome that extending was the best option at present for Devon County Council.

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

An options appraisal was carried out with the following options considered:
o Devon County Council to re-tender the contract on their own
o Call-off from a framework agreement already in place
o Allow the contract to expire and do not put another in place
o Extend the current contract

No conflicts of interest in relation to the extension of this contract
