The decision has been taken on the basis that this is the most appropriate option at this stage following an options appraisal.

An options appraisal was completed and the following options considered:
- Extend the current contract for 12 months
- Award to an alternative supplier on the ESPO framework
- Retender
- Do nothing and let the contract expire
