The decision to extend the contract was made following the completion of an options appraisal and the outcome that extending was the best option at present for Devon County Council.
An options appraisal was carried out with the following options considered:
- Devon County Council to re-tender the framework
- Call-off from a framework agreement already in place
- Allow the framework to expire and not to put another in place
- Extend the current framework
No conflicts of interest in relation to the extension of this contract
