Disposal of surplus land at Stoke Road, Stokeinteignhead
Decision Taken:
It is recommended that a small parcel of DCC land (approx. 145m2) at Stoke Road, Higher Gabwell, Stokeinteignhead be declared surplus and disposed of.
The decision taken is to declare the land surplus and dispose of to an adjoining landowner as a ‘special’ purchaser.
Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:
This is land that is residual following a previous highways scheme and is surplus to DCC’s requirements.
This disposal will forego an ongoing maintenance liability to DCC.
Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:
To retain the land and maintain at DCC expense.
