Disposal of surplus land at Lower Union Road, Kingsbridge
Decision Taken:
It is recommended that a small parcel of DCC land (approx. 80m2) at Lower Union Road, Kingsbridge be declared surplus and disposed of to an adjoining landowner.
The decision taken is to declare the land surplus and dispose of to an adjoining landowner as a ‘special’ purchaser.
Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:
This is land that is residual following a previous highways scheme and is surplus to DCC’s requirements. DCC Highways are in support of the proposed disposal
This disposal will forego an ongoing maintenance liability to DCC.
Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:
To retain the land and maintain at DCC expense.
