Child and family support

Designated teacher training

Area learning advocates (ALAs) and PEP support officers are able to provide one-to-one induction sessions for new designated teachers. This can be arranged by contacting the ALA or PEPSO directly. Their contact information can be found at Virtual School Team.

The Virtual School responds to the training needs of designated teachers and provides targeted training through Devon Education Services Shop. All training opportunities are emailed regularly to all designated teachers by kate.clarke@devon.gov.uk.

Currently we have a range of Attachment Based Mentoring Training and Development Relational Support Plans Training for all Devon schools (and non-Devon schools that have a child in care to Devon on roll), further details can be found via links below. (Please note you need to be logged into your DES account to be able to book).
