    There are many different types of fostering that foster carers can choose to specialise in.

  • Fostering allowances

    Foster carers are paid a weekly allowance to cover the expenses of caring for, and the time spent looking after, a foster child.

Can you provide a safe, stable home for a young person?

  • You must have a spare bedroom

  • You can be single, married or in a long-term relationship

  • You need to be 21 years of age or older

  • You can be either employed, self employed, unemployed or on benefits

  • It doesn't matter if you currently have your own children or not

  • You need to have lived in England for at least one year

Key Stage 2 test results better than national average
