Supporting health and social care providers in Devon

Consultations

The Care Act 2015 gave Local Authorities market oversight responsibilities. It encourages closer collaboration with independent providers of care and support services and builds on Devon County Council and its NHS commissioning partners commitment to engage with health and social care providers in planning and commissioning services for people in Devon.

Whilst we aim to engage with providers across all sectors in an ongoing way, delivered through various PEN activities, from time to time, it is also necessary to formally consult with providers about significant decisions which may impact upon their businesses.

Sometimes consultations will only be for service providers, for example discussion about fee levels and sometimes it will be for providers, service users, their families and the wider public when it is about significant decisions or changes which may affect them.

Consultations may take place electronically or via specially arranged consultation meetings, which will be listed on the Events Calendar.
