There will be traffic and parking restrictions to allow the race to pass through safely. For the majority of the route, a rolling road closure will be in place, meaning the roads will only be closed for the time it takes for the race to pass by.
However, in the start and finish locations (Cranbrook and Barnstaple) there will be road closures and on-street parking restrictions.
Please note, road closures and times may change due to race conditions.
Cranbrook
- Younghayes Road from Three Corner Field to St Michael’s way will be closed from 4:30am until 2:00pm
- Burrough Fields and the Cranbrook Station car park will be closed from 6:00am until 2:00pm
- Tillhouse Road will be a ‘clearway’ (no parking), except for designated parking bays.
- Court Royal will be a ‘clearway’ (no parking).
- St Michael’s Way will be a ‘clearway’ (no parking) and bus diversion route.
Barnstaple
Sunday 2 September into Monday 3 September
- Commercial Road, Castle Quay: Closed to traffic and no access to parking from 6:00pm until 5:00am.
Monday 3 September
- The Strand, Castle Street and North Walk (between Tuly Street and Castle Street): Closed to all traffic from 5:00am until 9:00pm.
- North Walk from its junction with Pilton Causeway: Access to Tuly Street maintained from 5:00am until midday.
- North Walk from its junction with Pilton Causeway: Closed to all traffic from midday until 5:00pm.
- North Walk from its junction with Pilton Causeway: Access only from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
- Rolle Street – Braunton Road to its junction with Pilton Causeway: Access only maintained from 5:00am until midday.
- Rolle Street – Braunton Road to its junction with Pilton Causeway: Closed to all traffic from midday until 5:00pm.
- Taw Vale – junction with Litchdon Street to New Road: Closed to all traffic from 5:00am until 5:30pm.
- Taw Vale – Belle Meadow to junction with Litchdon Street: Closed to all traffic from midday until 4:00pm.
- New Road – junction with Victoria Road to Taw Vale: Closed to all traffic from 10:30am until 4:30pm.
- Cross Street and High Street: Closed to all traffic from 3:00pm until 4:00pm.
- Boutport Street: Closed to all traffic from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
- Long Bridge: Closed to all traffic from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
