Summary of Matter or Issue Requiring Decision:
Decision to award the Authority’s contract for the provision and management of a recycling centre facility in Torrington to the company detailed in section 2 below.
The Authority received only one compliant tender in response to its invitation to tender for this contract and therefore the decision to award the contract to the company below is required to be made by the Cabinet Member for the service.
Decision Taken:
To award a contract for the provision of service detailed in section 1 above to the below organisation.
DWML Group Limited, 1 & 2, Mulberry Court Lustleigh Close, Matford Business Park, Marsh Barton Trading Estate Exeter EX2 8PW.
Company Registration Number and legal form: 05892189 – Limited Company.
The service will commence on 1st April 2020 and expires on 31st March 2025 with option to extend the contract by periods totaling a maximum of 4 further years.
Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:
An Open tendering procedure was followed in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
In response to the Authority’s invitation to tender, only one compliant tender was received.
