Children and young people

The guides below are for children and young people who have been adopted or are going through adoption, and want to know more about the process. We work in partnership with local authorities and each authority produces their own guide.

If you would like to meet other adopted children and young people, or if you would like to talk individually about being adopted, we run activity days for younger children and for teenagers where you can have fun in the company of other young people who have shared some of your experiences.

A group of adopted teenagers also meet regularly to plan activity days, events and to offer consultation and feedback to the adoption service.
