Overseas social work opportunities for 2023

Social workers are at the heart of our workforce, ensuring that children and their families receive the support and help they need.

Here at Devon, we have developed a bespoke programme of support to allow qualified and experienced overseas social workers a route to transition into children’s social work in the UK.  As well as a wide range of career opportunities, we can offer the tools and support required for you to deliver improved outcomes for the children and young people in Devon. You will receive a learning agreement for your six-month transition programme, with regular supervision and support. Your caseload will reflect your professional capability and development needs and will enable you to do meaningful work with local families.  In addition, we will also ensure that you will have protected time to participate in learning and development activities and opportunities to develop your practice capability.

You CAN make a real difference to children and families across our beautiful county.
