The Ranger Service organises a programme of events each year. Here’s what events we have coming up at the Grand Western Canal in 2016.

Volunteers day – Hedge laying

Sunday 10 January

10am – 4pm
Join forces with Rangers at the Grand Western Canal to learn the traditional art of hedge laying. Suitable for children aged 13 and upwards.

Please note: Suitable for children aged 13 and upwards. We will provide all tools plus tea and biscuits. Please wear suitable clothes and boots, and bring waterproofs, a packed lunch and a drink.

A Winter Wander

Wednesday 20 January

10:20am – 12noon
Join Rangers for a midweek walk and discover the sights and sounds of the Country Park. Part of Tiverton’s ‘Walk for Health’ scheme.
Cost: Free.
Location: The Globe Inn Car Park, Sampford Peverell
Please note: First time walkers to the scheme need to complete a health questionnaire prior to the walk.
